AVA POST OFFICE:  FREEDOM WALL

Katie West seen here with Postmaster Kathy Jones.  Kathy is the Postmaster of AVA Post Office.  Katie was called in to do a WALL 12 feet long and 4 feet wide.  "When asked I did a FREEDOM WALL, and took a concept to show Postmaster Jones. Here instant response was... 'It is Perfect!'  It took about 4 weeks and about 200  hours to design and paint the original 4' x 7' Running Freedom Horse.  The Horse  painting is an original painted on wood.  It was first painted in acrylic paint. Then repainted in oil paint.  

The side photos are also designed by me.  I love OUR Military, Police, Sheriff's, Fire and Highway Patrol & First Responder's.   They do a GREAT job in our Community.  We worked with DCVMA along with Postmaster Jones and her employees.  We wanted the support group to be to a minimum to expedite the process.  The other contributor was WALMART who donated the Military Photos and Thank YOU's.  

911 taught America a lot about American 1st Responder's giving their lives to save others.  Our Military to me, are ALL Hero's, and this gave us a chance to say it without words.  Postmaster Jones was a GREAT person to work with. 

All was done in about a month.  I am Honored to have a part in this wonderful idea that was put into a permanent displayed visual."
